The ball mill is one of the high-fine grinding machines widely used in industrial production. There are many types. However, due to the long-term application in the mineral processing industry, in order to ensure its use efficiency, we need to maintain the equipment frequently to reduce the appearance of the equipment. The phenomenon of reduced efficiency and damage.
1. Ball mill check the big and small gears. After removing the gear seal, first completely clean the oil on the large gear and the small gear. Then use a feeler gauge to measure the radial clearance between the big gear and the small gear (note that the measurement point should be on the straight line connecting the midpoint of the big gear and the small gear) and measure the tooth surface (working surface) clearance. Then use a caliper or gear caliper to measure the pitch circle diameter of the big gear and the small gear. It can also be measured with gear models and feeler gauges. Compare the measured number with the standard tooth thickness.
Install the dial indicator, rotate the big gear and the small gear, and measure the axial and radial oscillation of the gear. Check gear wear and gears for cracks and record them.
2. Replace the big gear and the use of the big gear.
1) After removing the upper gear cover of the large gear, turn the half-face joint surface of the large gear to a horizontal position, and use a crane to lift the upper half gear train.
2) After removing the large fuel tank fastening bolts and half-face fastening bolts, lift the upper half gear to the designated position and use wooden pads.
3) Rotate the tank 180. Use the same method to remove the other half of the big gear.
4) Screw the bolt into half of the new large gear. Turn the big tank 180. Then, place the other half in place with a bolt, and tighten the big gear fastening bolt. Use two dial gauges to measure the axial and radial swing values of the gears and record them.
5) When the radial vibration is unqualified, the radial gasket should be analyzed and adjusted according to the record. Tighten after adjustment, and then measure until qualified.
6) When the axial swing is unqualified, first check whether the flange connection surface of the large fuel tank is tight, and determine whether it is a spare part error or an installation error.
7) After the large gear is qualified, find the pin hole on the original large groove. If it fails, please change the pin position or increase the pin diameter, and then redistribute the nails.
8) The tooth thickness of the big gear and the small gear should be less than 30%, the pinion shaft and radial swing should not exceed 0.25mm, and the big gear should swing within ±2mm. The big gear oscillates radially within 1 mm.

3. Gear surface hardening. When the tooth surface of the gear wears 2 to 3mm, the tooth surface is quenched to increase the hardness of the tooth surface.
The boss formed by tooth surface deformation and tooth root wear before quenching should be flat, and the tooth pitch and tooth profile should be kept correct (tooth profile test can be completed in advance).
When the gear surface is quenched, the gear lies flat and the end face of the gear is parallel to the ground. The flanks are heated by burners, which move along the tooth surface from bottom to top. When the quenching temperature is reached, close the combustible gas valve of the burner, open the cooling water valve, and spray water on the tooth surface for quenching. The material of the big gear is generally 45# cast steel, and its surface hardness can reach about 350 Brinell hardness after surface quenching. The material of the pinion is usually 45# cast steel or 45# chrome steel. After quenching, the surface hardness can reach 400-500 Brinell hardness.
4. Gear repair welding. When the wear of the gear reaches 1/3 of the tooth thickness, in order to be able to use it intermittently, the surface treatment method can be used to compensate the teeth, and the teeth must be processed after welding to maintain the teeth. The shape is correct and then quenched.
In short, during the maintenance process of the ball mill, the specified operation method must be strictly followed to avoid damage to the equipment due to improper operation, which may cause the equipment to fail to operate normally.
